David K. Schwirian

David Schwirian is a graduate of Alderson Broaddus College where he received his B.A. degree in Natural Sciences. He received his J.D. degree from West Virginia University College of Law where he was a member of the West Virginia Moot Court Board. David was admitted to the West Virginia Bar in 1984 and has practiced throughout West Virginia with Pauley Curry, PLLC, and its predecessor firm, Pauley, Curry Sturgeon and Vanderford, PLLC, since that time. He has appeared before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is also admitted to practice in the Northern and Southern District Courts of West Virginia as well as the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

David has practiced with Pauley Curry, PLLC and its predecessor firm, Pauley, Curry, Sturgeon and Vanderford, PLLC for 35 years. David’s practice is focused on medical malpractice including claims against hospitals, clinics, medical doctors, osteopaths, surgeons, nurses, physician’s assistants, and midwives. David has received the Martindale Hubbell 2019 Client Championship Award, which is given to attorneys who excel at service as affirmed by their clients. He has also has continued to maintain an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell. David is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and was selected as American Trial Lawyers Association Top 100 Trial Lawyers. He is also a Platinum Member of Elite Lawyers of America. David has also received the National Institute of Trial Advocacy certificate. David is married and lives in the Charleston area.
